True. You have a valid point there.

But at least ALL publishers/writers/novelists/columnists ommit the "hačky" and "čárky" when writing. It is not exactly the same as here where some decide to add the "__ová" and others don't. :(

Another thought is that Czech people in general are starting to ommit the "hačky" and "čárky" themselves thanks to the Internet and SMS messaging ;-)

how about english speaking tv and newspapers speaking about/writing czech names and omitting carons (hacky) and acutes (carky)? is that a disrespect for czech language or what?! (or is it just a trifle not worth being concerned about, just as the one you write about? :-))
