Ja, well. You experienced a different part of RSA than I. I must shamefully admit that I have not been to Cape Town or Stellenbosch or Paarl. I was born and lived in Joburg and therefore when travelling around we did not get to the Cape. Seems like you had one part of the country and I the other :o) Obviously the greater Johannesburg and Pretoria areas(incl. Midrand), Rustenburg, Sun City, the Eastern Transvaal - Pilgrims Rest, Blyde River Canyon (with the 3 Rondavels and Gods Window) and Kruger National Park. I have also been to the Drankensburg on many a occasion (Champaigne Castle) and to Natal: Durbs, Amamzitoti and many others on the South Coast.

I have pledged to my wife that one day I shall return with her (she has never been to SA) and that I will show her all the sights and that I shall include some sights I missed out on when I used to live there - the Garden Route for example.

Today I got an email from some friends who live in Joburg and they say that they are going down to Jefferys Bay for 3 weks during the summer Xmas holidays. They are taking jet skis with them and their boat. Oh, God! How I wish I could be with them right now - sun, surf and regeneration. Instead I am stuck here with "overcast, cold and depressing". But I guess winter here does also have its advantages - once it finally snows :p

Fox: You and I could get down to some long talking by the looks of things. Maybe it would be wise to exchange some contact info. A nejlepsi obchudek co znam kde ho maji je v Paarlu... v jedne zastrcene ulicce, naproti je nemecka hospoda a vedle ni bydli jedna nadherna slecna.......:-)

No jsem rad ze jsem nasel spriznenou dusi, v JAR (or RSA) se mi moc libilo, nebyl jsem tam sice moc dlouho (neco pres pul roku), ale zamiloval jsem si tu zemi a lidi tam, mel jsem sanci tam zustat a delat pro Mercedes, bohuzel jsem se vratil (kvuli me byvale lasce - chyba). Dodnes nemuzu zapomenout na rana, vyhled na Table Mountain, prochazky po Straandu, male namesticko v Wynbergu, Mossel Bay, Franschhoek, Fish hoek, Muizenberg, Clifton a dalsi nadherna mista kolem CapeTownu. Dale bych se zas rad mrkl do Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban a tak.... sakra.... jel bych hned zpatky CapeTown je muj druhy domov. Jen skoda ze veci se deji tak jak se deji a ze se krysy pred par lety dostaly z Robben Islandu na pevninu a roznesly revoluci po kontinentu a pak to treba u severovychodnich sousedu vypada jak to vypada....
